Full Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 – Arrive in Jindabyne in the afternoon.
Meet at the group accommodation.
Accommodation: Jindabyne Lodge Style Twin share
Meals: Dinner at a local Jindabyne Restaurant

Day 2

Day 2 – Cycle from Jindabyne to Providence Portal
Total of 103km / approx 1400m of ascent, over 5 hrs of riding
Accommodation: Lodge Style Twin share
Meals: Breakfast,lunch, snacks and Dinner at the lodge (no reception here)

Day 3

Day 3 – Cycle from Providence Portal to Khancoban
Total of 106km / approx 3040m of ascent, over 5.5 hrs of riding
The Ride from Khancobin to Tom Groggin is 55km, then you hit the famous 18km Climb towards the top of Deadhorse gap.
The first 3.4km climb averages 12%, from Leather Barrel to the top is 10km of an average gradient of 5%, then a 40km descent back into Jindabyne.
Accommodation: Cottage Style twin share with solar heated swimming pool
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and snacks and Dinner at the local pub

Day 4

Day 4 – Cycle from Khancobin back to Jindabyne Total of 111km /over 3000m of ascent, over 5 hrs of riding. Tour officially ends in the afternoon (additional night in Jindabyne possible) Accommodation: extra night in Jindabyne available on request at additional cost Meals: Breakfast included, Lunch is not included in Jindabyne (extra cost)

During this trip, the group will spend 3 nights in comfortable, generally 3-star, motels/lodge style accommodation which have been chosen on account of their authentic charm and friendly service.
All accommodation is arranged on a twin sharing basis. If you are travelling by yourself you will be paired up with another single client of the same sex.
single rooms are available for a supplementary cost.
Additional hotel nights in Jindabyne on the Sunday night can also be booked. Hotels are subject to availability and prices may vary.

Although dominated by a montane climate, with no dry season and a mild summer, the Australian Alps Bioregion contains a patch of true alpine climate.
During summer the occasional dry, sunny day can see daytime temperatures rising above 30°C but the nights are cool.

Late bookings will require full payment.
We cannot confirm any booking until we receive your fully completed booking form.

We also strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance, as all deposits paid are non-refundable.
